The Chikungunya IgG/IgM Rapid Test Cassette is a lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of antibodies (IgG and IgM) to Chikungunya in human Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma. It provides an aid in the diagnosis of infection with Chikungunya viruses. For professional and in vitro diagnostic use only.
[SUMMARY]
Chikungunya is an infection caused by the chikungunya virus, featuring sudden fever onset two to four days after exposure. Joint pains typically accompany the fever and can last weeks or months. The virus is transmitted via Aedes mosquitoes (A. albopictus and A. aegypti). Outbreaks have been recorded across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
Positive: *Two lines appear. One colored line in the control region (C), and another colored line in the test region (T).
Negative: One colored line appears in the control region (C). No line appears in the test region (T).
Invalid: Control line fails to appear. Reasons may include insufficient specimen volume or incorrect techniques.
